ARR! 2025: Pirate Fun for All!

The 5th annual Alex Rust Regatta (ARR!) was one for the books! On a blazing August day at Eagle Creek Sailing Club, more than 50 attendees dove into the water to stay cool and enjoy our most family-filled Regatta yet.

Fueled by the adventurous spirit of Captain Alex Rust, this event celebrates Alex’s belief that anyone can be a kid again — no matter their age or status. ARR! is about coming together, playing hard, and inspiring others to join the fun.

This year’s line-up included three exciting events — plus a brand-new treasure hunt on the water!

Plunder Run Steals the Show

The fan-favorite Plunder Run was such a hit we ran it twice! Participants paddled furiously in pursuit of floating pirate treasure, scooping up loot with paddles and bare hands.

The secret to success? Team up! Those who did walked away with the biggest haul. (Hint for next year!)

King of the Hill SUP: Jordan Holds the Crown

Back by popular demand, the SUP King of the Hill Challenge brought fierce competition. After three heats of head-to-head battles, Jordan Kane proved unbeatable — keeping the crown all day long.

Shoutout to our junior pirates Harper Rust and Daniel Hendrix for giving the King a run for his money!

BYOB: Build Your Own Boat Mayhem

The Build Your Own Boat (BYOB) race delivered pure entertainment once again. In the biggest upset of the day, Thomas Hendrix’s Titanic outmaneuvered last year’s reigning champ in a thrilling showdown. With quick thinking and bold moves, Thomas became a crowd favorite — earning the most online and cash votes.

Grand Champion

This year's Grand Champion is Jordan Kane! His name will forever be engraved in Alex's pirate samurai sword!

Daniel Hendrix came in second overall.
