British Virgin Islands
Back to where it all began.

There are few places on earth that feel as perfectly made for sailing as the British Virgin Islands. Warm trade winds, turquoise anchorages, and a string of islands so close together that every sail feels like the start of something new. But for the Chasing Bubbles story, the BVI isn’t just another stop on the map — it’s where everything began, and where it ultimately came full circle.

It was here that Captain Alex Rust first bought SV Bubbles, standing on these same docks with a dream bigger than his sailing experience and a willingness to figure the rest out along the way. From the BVI, Alex set out to chase the horizon and eventually circumnavigate the globe. Years later, after thousands of miles, countless anchorages, and stories that would inspire sailors around the world, he returned here — completing the circle where the journey began.

That’s why ending our regatta season in the BVI feels right. These waters carry the spirit of that original leap into the unknown. The same spirit that still brings sailors together today.

Expect days filled with beautiful sailing between legendary anchorages, evenings rafted up with a fleet that has become family, and the kind of spontaneous adventure that seems to follow the Chasing Bubbles crowd wherever it goes. The BVI has always been a meeting point for dreamers, wanderers, and sailors looking for something a little bigger than the next harbor.

As with every Chasing Bubbles Regatta, the sailing is only part of the story. The real purpose lies in the connections made, the adventures shared, and the impact created along the way.

The BVI regatta isn’t just the final stop of the season.

It’s a return to where the dream started — and proof that the spirit behind it is still very much alive.

Come sail the waters where Bubbles first pointed her bow toward the horizon.

You made it to the BVI — that means you’ve either booked a charter boat or a private vessel:

  • Charter guests: We’ll send you all the details for the marina where your boat is waiting. It will likely be Nanny Cay Marina.

  • Private vessel guests: You’ll meet your crew in Trellis Bay. (a short walking distance from the airport)

    • Booking a private vessel does not give you the option to choose the kind of boat you'll be on. Instead, it ensures there's a berth with your name on it!

Once you’ve signed up, your spot is locked in — go ahead and book your flights into Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS).

Provisioning will be coordinated with your cabin mates. After that, the galley’s your kingdom — whether you’re living off ramen and PB&Js or caviar and stone crab, the choice (and the price tag) is 100% yours.

*This race ends in Nanny Cay, Tortola on April 10th.

YOUTH DAY | April 11th

The Chasing Bubbles Youth Days are the heart of it all — the reason these regattas even exist. Held a day or two before each event, these days are all about getting local kids out on the water and showing them what’s possible beyond the shore. Because when you show a kid the horizon, you’re not just teaching them to sail — you’re showing them how big the world can be. Our mission is simple: to make a real impact, one child and one adventure at a time, empowering them to chase their own bubbles in life.

Want to get involved? We'd love to have you join the mission, Alex's mission, to make ripples of change in the lives of kids everywhere.

REGATTA | April 7th-10th

Live bold, chase the horizon, and say yes — just like Alex.

Beyond sponsorship — this is family.
