IS BACK!

The Vessel That Carried A Dream
Bubbles isn’t just a boat — she’s a legend. She was the vessel Captain Alex Rust chose to carry him on his wild circumnavigation of the globe. From the Amazon to the South Pacific, from pirate encounters to life-changing friendships, Bubbles became more than fiberglass and sails — she became the beating heart of an adventure that inspired dreamers worldwide.
But after her voyage ended and she was sold, tragedy struck. When Hurricane Irma ripped through the Caribbean, Bubbles was battered, broken, and left all but sunk. For many, that would have been the end of her story.

A Resurrection and a New Purpose
That could have been where Bubbles was lost forever — but instead, it was the spark of something new. When we found her again, tired and abandoned, the idea for the Chasing Bubbles Foundation began to take shape.
Led by Christine Gordon, a former Bubbles crew member, and supported by an incredible team of volunteers, Bubbles was raised, rebuilt, and restored to her former glory — and then some. Piece by piece, plank by plank, she was given new life. What once seemed impossible became reality through sheer determination, love, and community effort.
Bubbles herself became proof of what we believe: that no dream is too broken to rebuild, and no story too far gone to carry forward.
Sailing For A Bigger Dream
Today, Bubbles sails again — not just as a tribute to Alex, but as a living part of his legacy. She is the vessel and the symbol of the Chasing Bubbles Foundation’s mission: to empower kids everywhere to dream big, live boldly, and chase bubbles of their own.
From island day camps to regattas across the Caribbean, Bubbles is now a floating classroom, a gathering space, and a spark for new generations. Alex’s dream has been brought back to life — and so has his vessel.
Together, the dream and the boat continue to turn ripples into waves of change in the lives of children all over the world.
