S/V Bubbles, more than Just a boat
The past, present and future of the world-famous 1983 39' fast passage 39
The inspiring story of Captain Alex Rust, as documented in `Chasing Bubbles', co-stars S/V Bubbles, the 39' Fast Passage that carried Alex and beloved crew around the world and to more places than most sailboats have seen.
After completing circumnavigation in 2012, she floated through the hands of a few other owners until the Chasing Bubbles Foundation tracked down S/V Bubbles in the USVIs in 2021. Then, on June 14th (Alex's birthday) of 2022, ten years after completing the circumnavigation, CBF bought her back! Since then we have been working hard on a complete restoration with the help of volunteers, fans, dreamers, and generous donors.
At the end of 2022, CBF ran The 53 Campaign where fifty-three lucky donors reserved their spots on the restored S/V Bubbles. And finally, in 2023 the hard work started paying off and she splashed in St.Thomas, USVI.

Sail on S/v Bubbles!
The restoration of S/V Bubbles is ultimately to assist the Chasing Bubbles Foundation in accomplishing the mission of empowering kids around the world to chase their dreams. By helping to promote a cycle of inspiration as well as raising funds, this well-loved and world-famous boat is again going places that many boats don't.
With restorations complete (well, you know how boats go, there's always something to work on!), we are excited to announce the opportunity to charter and learn to SAIL ON BUBBLES! Details are forthcoming for a big 2024 for S/V Bubbles.
